It’s been a while since I had anything to tell you which wasn’t about how much I’d eaten, the best way to reproduce an authentic donner kebab using your oven at home, or something else that probably had something to do with food.
It therefore gives me enormous pleasure to say that I’ve teamed up with million-selling crime writer Rachel McLean to write a brand new series that takes Rachel’s Birmingham DI Zoe Finch up to the wilds of Cumbria for some thrilling new adventures.
There will be murders.
There will be conflict and mistrust.
There will be good cops, and bad cops, and cops who might be somewhere in the middle but might not.
There will also be unpacking and learning which are the best local takeaways and which are the ones to avoid, but we’ll keep that to a minimum.
